These events are from 8:00 – 10:00 AM and include a guided tour of the Upper and Lower Canyon Trails with emphasis on history of Chaetura Canyon, plants, geology, birds, habitat restoration and (of course) Chimney Swifts!
Trails are well-developed but are steep with many steps with moderate difficulty. Sturdy shoes or boots and a walking stick are recommended.
These tours are limited to 20 participants. Events are free to TAS members and their guests, but donations to maintenance of Chaetura Canyon are encouraged. Note cards, limited edition prints and TAS merchandise will be available for purchase. All donations and purchases benefit maintenance and projects at Chaetura Canyon.
