Morning Canyon Crawl

Registration for this event is full! Space is still available on the July 8th Canyon Crawl which will be the last of the summer.

Join us for a leisurely guided stroll through the Chimney Swift Meadow and Lower Canyon Trails at our Chaetura Canyon Sanctuary. These events are from 8:00 – 10:00 AM with emphasis on history of Chaetura Canyon, plants, geology, birds, habitat restoration and (of course) Chimney Swifts!

Trails are well-developed but some of the lower trails are steep with many steps and moderately difficult.  Sturdy shoes or boots, a walking stick, binoculars and a water bottle are recommended.  Walking sticks and binoculars are available for loan.

These tours are limited to 12 participants.  Events are free to TAS members and their guests, but donations to Travis Audubon for Chaetura Canyon are encouraged.   Note cards, t-shirts, limited edition prints and TAS merchandise will be available for purchase.  All donations and purchases benefit the maintenance of and projects at Chaetura Canyon.

Directions and more information will be emailed to participants the week of the event.
