We invite you to join the Travis Audubon Society Nature Book
Club, which meets every 2 - 3 months at a local restaurant. The
group is informal and fun, and you can choose to go to all the
meetings and discuss all the books, or you can pick and choose
the meetings featuring books you would like to discuss. You do
not even have to have read the book to attend and join in the
discussion! Upcoming books:
NEW TO THE BOOK CLUB:
Reservations are required, so please RSVP to Terry Banks
@331-0071 or tessiembanks@msn.com at least 2 days before
the meeting. This is so we can reserve a seat for members at
the restaurant and so details about the location can be
discussed. Anybody can come and it is not mandatory to read
the book; however, discussion is richer when the book has
been read by most of the participants.
Monday, August 25th The Curve of Time by M. Wylie Blanchet.
Monday, October 27th, The Third Cimpanzee by Jared M.
Diamond.
Come and join us. Bring your suggestions about future books and
be prepared to have a good time. Hope to see you soon!
Purchase your book on-line directly from BookPeople and they
will donate a portion of the proceeds to Travis Audubon Society.
A great way to get the book and help support Travis Audubon
through BookPeople, Austin's "locally owned, passionately
