Through our education and conservation programs, Travis Audubon is raising awareness about the mounting threat that urban development presents to our local and migratory birds and their habitats. We have found that inspiring people to celebrate birds and wildlife naturally leads them to participate in habitat protection efforts. A constituency built around the need for conservation will ensure a balanced regional eco-system and a healthy environment for future generations.

Purple Martin Parties

Watch a hurricane of birds as hundreds of thousands of Purple Martins “swirl” into their roosting site at Texas Land & Cattle each evening. It’s better than the bats! Click here to learn about our Purple Martin Parties.

Bird Counts & Surveys

Bird surveys and counts help with scientific advancement by alerting communities to climate and environmental changes. Large, rapid declines in bird populations point to environmental problems that need immediate attention.
