Tuesday, January 15 – 7:00am to 10:30am

This 215 acre former ranch is a favorite of bird watchers with more than 200 bird species having been sighted there. The park offers a variety of habitats with frontage on Lake Austin, a creek and riparian corridor, wetlands, woodlands, Pecan trees and open meadows.

We will be walking into the park, so we will meet at a nearby location and carpool to the limited parking area outside of the gate. Expect to walk about 2.5 miles miles with a section containing a long, steep hill. Bring snacks and water.

Limited to 12 people. Contact Deb Wallace at apeld@austin.rr.com for more information.
