We will explore the area below the Lake Georgetown dam spillway including Booty’s Road Park. The 1 mile trail through this area is an excellent location for birding. We will meet-up in the parking lot at the end of Booty’s Crossing Road by the spillway and base of the Lake Georgetown dam. Directions: From North Austin take I-35 north to exit 261 in Georgetown (Williams Drive). Take Williams Drive northwest for about 1.4 miles and make a left turn onto Booty’s Crossing Road (at a traffic signal). Follow Booty’s Crossing Road until it ends in about 2 miles at a parking lot by the base of the Lake Georgetown dam. GPS coordinates: 30.665673, -97.72465 See map at http://goo.gl/maps/ewLdi
