Sanctuary Stewards Georgean and Paul Kyle sit on the new steps.

We are in the final phase of the campaign to raise funds for the Chaetura Canyon Land Acquisition Fund through the sale of personalized donor bricks. Having passed our original goal of $5000, the Travis Audubon Board approved a campaign to complete the new entrance, tie into the new wheelchair access ramp, and raise even more funds for land acquisition.

Please help us reach our new goal!  The new steps are in place, built by Georgean and Paul Kyle, Chaetura First Stewards. They fit beautifully into Chaetura Canyon’s natural landscape. A new deck has been built that connects the steps and the new access ramp, funded by a matching grant from the Carl C. Anderson, Jr. and Marie Jo Anderson Charitable Foundation.  And we have raised over $7000 for critically adjacent lots to expand and preserve the Sanctuary.

Please help us complete this project. We have 46 4×8, 15 8×8 and 7 sponsor bricks to sell – 100% sales will result in a project total of $14,500 for land purchase. Sponsor bricks with the Chimney Swift logo are $250, 8×8 bricks $100, 4×4 bricks $50.

Simply print this form and follow the instructions to order your personalized brick. Please feel free to contact Mark Wilson by e-mail or call 512-497-0744 with any questions.
