At Travis Audubon, we work hard to make an impact on our region,
through our robust birding and wildlife programming, maintenance
of nature sanctuaries, and ongoing habitat conservation efforts.
We rely on our members and supporters to keep us going. Please
make a contribution to help underwrite our work. All gifts are tax-
deductible to the extent allowed by law, and we will mail you a
receipt to document your gift. Check out these ten options for
supporting Travis Audubon Society:
- You may mail us a check in any amount, payable to “Travis
Audubon Society.” Please note “Contribution” in the memo. line
and send it to Travis Audubon Society, 3710 Cedar St., Austin,
Texas 78705.
- Upgrade your membership! Please consider becoming a
"Painted Bunting" member ($75 per year), a "Vireo" member
($100 per year), or a "Warbler" member ($250 per year). You will
receive a receipt for a tax-deductible contribution.
- Become one of our valued "rare birds": a Life Member for
$1,000. You will receive all our membership benefits and
materials for the rest of your life as well as a receipt for a tax-
deductible contribution. Our goal is 100 Life Members!
- Click here to make an easy, secure gift to TAS via PayPal in any
amount, now! PayPal accepts all major credit cards and e-
checks, and you will receive an e-mail receipt immediately. You
do not need to have a PayPal account to make a gift to us using
your credit card:

- Shop at Randalls with your Remarkable card! Be sure to stop
at the Customer Service desk and let them know that you want
1% of your grocery purchases to be donated by Randalls to
Travis Audubon Society: #10828. (You must provide them with
this number to ensure that the contribution comes to TAS.)
- Sip your Soup at Soup Peddler. Click HERE to see how.
- We are a part of the Audubon Foundation of Texas, which is a
participant in EarthShare of Texas, along with Texas’ other
leading environmental organizations, which allows you to direct
contributions to Audubon through payroll deduction. If your
workplace already has a partnership with Earth Share of Texas,
it's as simple as filling out a pledge card and designating how
much money should be taken out of each paycheck. You may
also make on-line gifts directly to EarthShare of Texas via their
Web site.
- Your employer may have a employee gifts matching program
or make contributions to charities that you nominate. Ask your
company's Human Resources or Community Relations office
for details and the required form, which you should send to us
with your gift. Some Austin area employers that match
employees’ charitable gifts are 3M, AMD, AT&T, Freescale,
Home Depot, Hospira, IBM, Intel, National Instruments, and
Sun Microsystems.
- Participate in our annual Birdathon, in which you or your team
set a birding goal for a day and raise funds from friends, family,
and co-workers to support TAS. Example: You aim to identify 50
birds in one day (whether by ear or by eye), and you collect
pledges from friends and others at, say, 50 cents per bird. At
the end of the day, if you met your 50-bird target, you'll have
raised $25 from each of your Birdathon sponsors for TAS!
- Remember Travis Audubon Society in your will. Such support
is critical to maintaining our nature sanctuaries and
programming, including acquiring and preserving other land in
Central Texas. Typical bequests are gifts of land, stocks, or
cash. Please work with your estate planner and/or personal
attorney to determine the best type of gift, and please let us
know if you have included Travis Audubon in your estate plans.
- We welcome support in the form of goods or services. Contact
Travis Audubon at info@travisaudubon.org or 512.300.BIRD
(2473), and we will work with you on supporting Travis Audubon
with "in-kind" gifts (e.g., goods such as surplus office supplies,
or services such as graphic design, printing, pro bono legal
assistance, and so on. )
If none of these giving options is what you have in mind, please
contact Travis Audubon at info@travisaudubon.org or 512.300.
