Beginners’ Bird Walk: Barkley Meadows Park

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Barkley Meadows Park runs along the Onion Creek Greenway in Southeastern Travis County. Its gentle topography is typical of our Blackland Prairie. It offers a variety of habitats including a riparian corridor, 2 ponds, woodlands and open fields. The trails are paved so they are accessible. We’ll be looking for birds wintering in Central Texas, maybe late migrants, and year-round residents.
