Beginner’s Bird Walk: Berry Springs Park

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Location: Berry Springs Park

Come birding in a park that was named “The Best Kept Secret” in Georgetown in 2010.  The park features a 2.5-mile hike/bike trail that is ADA compliant; so, we encourage mobility challenged birders to join us.  Berry Creek runs through the area providing perfect habit for a variety of birds: woodpeckers, bluebirds, raptors, sparrows and herons.

Restrooms are available.

Leaders: George Kerr, Dennis Palafox, Celeste Treadway, Lance Felber, Judith Bailey

The Beginners’ Bird Walk is held on the first Saturday of each month and is open to birders of all levels and ages. It’s free. It’s fun. We change locations each month. Membership is not required. Registration is required and trip size is limited to 50 participants. We will be following Travis Audubon’s COVID-19 Policy, including masking regardless of vaccination status, if we are still in Stage 4.
