Travis Audubon is pleased to offer another monthly walk focused on beginners. Join us at Commons Ford, to enjoy a leisurely walk around the restored 40-acre prairie and along riparian and woodland trails. All levels are welcome. We will have loaner binoculars for those that need them, and will give a brief tutorial on how to use them. Experienced field trip leaders from Travis Audubon will guide participants in exploring this beautiful urban park, and seeing what birds we can spot or hear.
There are port-a-potties available at the trailhead/parking area, and a composting toilet ~1/2 way through the walk. Drinking water is not available at the park, please plan to bring your own water.
Registrants will receive an email with meeting details a few days prior to the event date.

The email used to register for this field trip will be used to communicate any changes or cancellations due to weather or other factors. Please ALWAYS check your email inbox on the morning of the walk, prior to leaving your home, in case of last-minute changes in the trip plan. Please also check to be sure our emails do not land in your spam folder. When in doubt, please call or email your trip leader. We encourage participants to put the leader’s email address in their safe sender list. Their contact information is included in this trip description.
Payment Policy
Payment for a field trip is due at the time of registration. If payment is not received within a week of registration, the registrant may be dropped from the roster. Registration fees for field trips are nonrefundable (unless the event is cancelled by Travis Audubon) and cannot be transferred to another event.
