Beginners’ Bird Walk: Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Travis Audubon is pleased to offer another monthly walk focused on beginners. Join us at Commons Ford, to enjoy a leisurely walk around the restored 40-acre prairie and along riparian and woodland trails. All levels are welcome. We will have loaner binoculars for those that need them, and will give a brief tutorial on how to use them. Experienced field trip leaders from Travis Audubon will guide participants in exploring this beautiful urban park, and seeing what birds we can spot or hear.

There are port-a-potties available at the trailhead/parking area, and a composting toilet ~1/2 way through the walk. Drinking water is not available at the park, please plan to bring your own water.

This event is free, but registration is required. Registrants will receive an email with meeting details a few days prior to the event date.
