7:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Join Dennis Palafox for a morning of birding at Camp Mabry. Camp Mabry is the headquarters for the Texas Military Forces in west-central Austin. It is representative of the urban-wildland interface of west Austin with a mix of maintained areas, oak-juniper woods, and a wet-weather creek connecting two ponds. The habitat diversity and setting provide for often productive birding and general natural diversity. We’ll be looking for late fall migrants, early winter birds, and resident species. This trip will be lightly strenuous walking roads, grassy fields and trails.
This trip is limited to 12 participants and registration is required. If you’re interested please contact Dennis at firstname.lastname@example.org. More details (meeting location, entrance requirements at Camp Mabry, etc.) will be provided to registrants.
