Bird photography is fun and rewarding, but it can also be challenging and frustrating — especially if you don’t have command of the technologies and techniques. This class with cover the fundamentals of how to set up your digital camera and how to work with it in the field to get the best results. Then we will delve into how to process your pictures to make them look as good as possible, using modern tools like Lightroom and Topaz.
This class will offer something at every skill level, from beginner to experienced. All you need is a camera, a computer, and a willingness to set your mind to learning. Learn new skills or sharpen the ones you already have! Students will learn the theory and then roll up their sleeves to put it into practice, for both image capture and post-processing.
Virtual class sessions via Zoom will be on Wednesday January 17 and 24, 7 PM – 9 PM, and the local (Austin) field trip will be the morning of Saturday January 20. Registration is $50 for members and $60 for non-members. Login details for the classes will be sent via email by the morning of January 17.
