Join Families in Nature Program Coordinator and Nature & Forest Therapy Guide, Jo, on January 28th for a family friendly forest bathing experience! Forest bathing is an immersive, guided nature connection experience. It involves slowly wandering outside, activating your senses and exploring the world around you in a deeper way. We will investigate our senses through color, texture, smell, sound and a variety of other fun and engaging invitations to help you connect better to yourself, your family and to nature.
Time spent in nature, particularly through forest bathing, is proven to lower stress, improve mood, sleep, creativity and more!
All invitations can be done standing, sitting or lying down. There are benches, however you can bring your own chair, yoga mat or blanket to sit on. We will not travel very far so please wear layers and bring anything to help make you more comfortable, especially a water bottle! The experience ends with the sharing of your experience alongside locally harvested tea and light snacks. Please note any allergies upon registration.
This family friendly forest bathing workshop will be adapted for shorter attention spans and younger ages, however please note that this guided experience is intended to be slower and quieter than a typical family event. For this reason we recommend the experience for ages 7 and up, however we have had many younger kids join us and have a great time! You know your family best! For more information please email Jordan@FamiliesinNature.org.”
