FIELD TRIP: Super Tuesday at Colorado Bend State Park, led by Terry Banks

5:30 AM – Late afternoon

This beautiful and relatively undeveloped 5,328 acre park in Bend, TX west of Lampasas is a sight to behold. It features a deep canyon through which the Colorado River flows with limestone bluffs, spring-fed creeks, waterfalls, large oaks, pecans, willows and elms. The uplands above the canyon have typical Hill Country terrain. We will be walking for several miles on trails that are rugged and moderately difficult. The park is about 2 hours from north Austin where we will meet to carpool. Limited to 12 people. Please contact Terry Banks at to register.
