Take away a wealth of activities focusing on FUN that teach students and the public about birds, their migration, and what people can do to help birds and their habitats.
Flying Wild:
– Teaches lessons in science, math, language arts, and more
– Facilitates service learning and citizen science projects
– Brings people of all ages in the community together to celebrate birds
For Travis Audubon volunteers and Master Birders, Flying Wild offers activities that can be used for Travis Audubon outreach programs and events. For teachers, Flying Wild offers hand-on classroom applications and outdoor field experiences connecting real-world experiences in bird biology, conservation & natural history.
Fee: $30 (includes Educator’s Manual). Registration required. Workshop will take place in east Austin– registrants will receive directions prior to event.
