7:00 AM – early afternoon
This field trip to Guadalupe River State Park in Comal and Kendall Counties is another in our series of trips to Texas State Parks.
Join us as we explore portions of this classic Hill Country park near New Braunfels. It features 4 miles of frontage on the Guadalupe River and 13 miles of hike and bike trails. Riparian and upland habitats are featured with almost 250 bird species having been identified on the property. We will be looking for over-wintering birds, year-round residents, and maybe an early migrant or two. The park hosts a large variety of sparrows in winter including Grasshopper and LeConte’s species. We will carpool from a convenient south location. Details will be provided to registrants. Please contact Deb Wallace at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Note: Registration is required. Limited to 12 participants.
