This monthly bird count was established in 1999. We break into groups and spend the morning counting all the birds we find at Hornsby Bend. All levels of birders are welcome. Meet at the Center for Environmental Research building, which is the first building on the right after you enter the front gate. All visitors are required to present ID at the guard house to enter Hornsby.

We’ll have coffee and donuts at 6:30am, and the survey starts at 7:00am. At 11:00am we reassemble at the CER and count down the birds we saw. No registration required. Contact Vincent O’Brien (vincentobrienbirds@gmail.com) for more information.
