JB Journeys: Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad & Tobago: November 30 – December 10, 2017

For each TAS member who travels with JB Journeys, a donation is made to Travis Audubon. Birding at the world-renowned Asa Wright Nature Centre on the island of Trinidad is an excellent intro to tropical birding. But it’s not just for beginners, as the two-island nation is home to many unique species like Oil Birds and Scarlet Ibis, not to mention manikins, hummingbirds, trogons, and more.  Accommodations are very comfortable, and for those who must limit their walking, this is the best porch birding in the world!   From $3595 per person.

Laurie Foss is well known to TAS birders, having taught many Intro to Birds classes and coordinating Christmas Bird Counts around the area. She has been birding since 1971. In addition to being CBO (chief birding officer) at JB Journeys, Laurie works at the Shield Ranch in the Texas Hill Country.
