CANCELED: Morning Canyon Crawl at Chaetura Canyon

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Join us for a hike of the Sanctuary with emphasis on the history of Chaetura Canyon, plants, geology, birds, habitat restoration and (of course) Chimney Swifts!

Snacks, water and soft drinks will be provided. We will begin with a short orientation, and then hit the trails.

The trails are well-developed, but some of the lower ones are steep with many steps and are moderately strenuous. Sturdy shoes or boots, a walking stick, binoculars, insect spray and a water bottle are recommended.

This tour is not recommended for children under seven (7) years of age or people with balance or breathing problems.

Walking sticks are available for loan. Cameras are also welcome, but we do ask that you put your cell phones on “vibrate” while on the trails.

The fee is $10.00 per person. Note cards, T-shirts, limited edition prints by Georgean Kyle, and other merchandise will be available for purchase. All fees, donations and purchases benefit the maintenance of Chaetura Canyon. Registrants will receive directions to the property and more info via email the week of the event.

The morning event is limited to six participants, so register ASAP!

The email used to register for this walk will be used to communicate any changes or cancellations due to weather or other factors.
