7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Come join us for another in the Travis Audubon State Park Series as we travel to Pedernales Falls State Park.  The park is located about 30 miles from Austin in Blanco County, east of Johnson City. Bordered by the Pedernales River and set upon the Edwards Plateau, the 5,212 acre park opened in 1971.

Pedernales Falls SP, with it’s diverse landscape, offers many outdoor activities including birdwatching. We will bird at the blinds, along the river and several trails. The park staff  maintain the two bird blinds with feed and water allowing for close viewing. Expect to see both wintering and year around birds.  Total number of species reported to Ebird for this location is 242.

Registration is required for this trip. Limit is 12 registrants. Further details for meeting the group will be provided to registrants prior to the date of the trip.
