Virtual Class: Introduction to Lightroom

Have you purchased Lightroom but haven’t used it? Or, have you thought you would like to use Lightroom but are apprehensive about learning a new piece of software? This class will introduce you to Lightroom with an emphasis on using it for bird photography. Techniques learned can also be used for other types of photography.

The class will cover basic Lightroom techniques that will get you up and running, provide helpful resources, and a Q & A session.

Participants should have a computer with Lightroom Classic ALREADY loaded and the computer plugged in. If you don’t have Lightroom Classic, you can download it from for a 7-day free trial period. Be sure to download the software just prior to the class. This class will not address Lightroom Mobile.

This will be a watch and practice class. Have some raw photos available for practicing.

This course will be taught by Theresa Bayoud. Theresa has been a birder and photographer for more than 30 years. Her favorite nature photography subjects include birds, dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies. She has taught several photography classes for Travis Audubon in the past.

The cost of this course is $30 for TAS members and $45 for non-members. Registrants will receive meeting credentials via email several days prior to class. Registrants should have internet access, a computer, and a Zoom login.
