Join Travis Audubon guides on a walk to discover the birds of Wild Basin! This 1hr event will travel across about a half mile of mostly flat trail. Some steps may be involved. Loaner binoculars will be provided for anyone who does not come with their own. This guided event begins on the covered patio of the Wild Basin Creative Research Center.
The event is family friendly but most appropriate for ages 8yrs and up.
Wear closed-toe shoes, dress comfortably for the weather and bring drinking water. Evaporative toilets are available at the parking lot restrooms.
Space is limited to a max of 15 people for this event.
Wild Basin protects 227 acres of Texas Hill country habitat and offers almost three miles of hiking trails.
Check-in required within 15 minutes of the event start time.
Wild Basin is a nature preserve. Pets, bikes, picnics, smoking/fire, weapons, and collecting are all prohibited. Everything is protected on the preserve.
The Creative Research Center and visitor gallery with educational displays is open from 8am-3pm, Monday-Friday.
The preserve may close at any time and without notice due to unforeseen conditions.
