Young Birders Club: Reimers Ranch

7:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Join Terry Banks for a youth bird walk. This lovely Travis County Park is a perfect place to experience Hill Country Birds and Vegetation. We will walk different areas of the park to see what we can find. Target Birds will be Black-Throated Sparrows, Verdins, Rufous-Crowned Sparrows and whatever other surprises we can find. Expect to walk about 1-2 miles, mostly flat terrain on a crushed granite path.

We recommend ages 8 and older who can demonstrate appropriate birding etiquette. It is important for Young Birders to have the ability to walk quietly and be respectful on the trails without running or disturbing other members. A parent or guardian must accompany their child(ren) at all Travis Audubon Young Birders Club events.

The entrance fee into the park is $5.00 per person, $3.00 for anyone 62 and older, and free for disabled veterans and children 12 years and younger. **THE PARK ONLY ACCEPTS CASH.** Reservations to enter the park are not required nor accepted. Registration is limited to 16 people, so register your family today! Loaner binoculars will be available.

Please contact Caley Zuzula, Travis Audubon Young Birders Club Coordinator, at caley@travisaudubon.org if you have any questions or need more information.
