EPISODE 72: The Romans Are Coming

With the completion of our sixth year we have become International.  It was an honor today to have Pierre Luigi with us.  Pierre is from a smaller town in the Rome/Naples area of Italy.  It was a treat to have him along.

He joined us on a very good day too as we got a species list of some 54. We got some species that were migrants, some species that have returned for the summer, and some that have not left from the winter.  Our two best of the day include Pileated Woodpecker and Green Kingfisher.  No one actually saw the Pileated but the heaviness of the drumming left no doubt as to what it was.  Another good find, and one that I always like, were Prothonotary Warblers.

We had birds singing all day Northern Cardinals and Painted Buntings were plentiful.  We also had Dickcissel all the way downstream

Others I need to thank today include Ruth Jansa, Linda Williams, Jane Dyal, Pam Hohman, Odilia DeLeon, Julie DeLeon, Bob West, Dennis Breining, Ron Armbruster, Chris Masey, John Barr, /art Jennings, and Danny

Thank you all for your helping us enjoy a wonderful day.
