A new ATV is among the many ongoing upgrades supporting conservation efforts at Baker Sanctuary. Managing over 700 acres of wildlife habitat is no small feat. Steward Chris Murray frequently roams the property to keep invasive growth in check, nurture native plantings, and conduct surveys of birds and other wildlife. Our former ATV saw over 18 years of service before being retired this year. Chris’s new set of wheels will speed the work of protecting this important piece of land and crucial breeding territory for the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler.
