Saturday, April 22, 8 – 11 AM
Join Sanctuary Stewards Georgean and Paul Kyle for a morning of exploring our beloved Chaetura Canyon and some surrounding areas.
We will meet at the residence for an orientation followed by an interpretive walk of the trails and “Counting Points” of Chaetura Canyon while looking and listening for local birds and early migrants – including Chimney Swifts. We will then check out a section of Lake Austin and an often productive Live Oak grove at the entrance to the subdivision. The trails are moderately strenuous, so this event is not recommended for those with balance or breathing problems.
Registration for this team is $60, but additional donations are encouraged. Limited to 8 participants. Registrants will receive more details, including address/directions, via email. Coffee, water, soft drinks and snacks will be provided. If you have any questions, contact Caley Zuzula at caley@travisaudubon.org.
