Travis Audubon, TreeFolks and Central Texas Seed Savers are teaming up to host a tree identification walk at Platt Lane near Hornsby Bend. Trees play a vital role in bird habitat—providing food, shelter, and nesting sites—so understanding our native tree species can deepen your birding skills and appreciation of Central Texas ecology. Join us for a free, guided walk by TreeFolks focused on learning to recognize the native trees that support our local bird populations.

Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot.

TreeFolks recommends that participants wear closed-toed shoes and dress according to the weather since we will be outside the whole time. There is no experience necessary, and children are welcome with a parent or guardian who can take responsibility for their safety. Please include all attendees (children or adult) when registering for this walk.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to email Gillian Hodler: volunteer@treefolks.org
