Past tours to Panama and Belize have had stellar reviews. You can be sure that a Travis Audubon international field trip is run in an environmentally sustainable manner. When possible, your field trip will include a chance to meet and interact with local conservation organizations and their supporters. You may even have an opportunity to participate in the American Birding Association’s Birder’s Exchange Program, being the courier for optical equipment that will be used by researchers, instructors and guides in areas of the world that are in need of it.

Galapagos Islands Cruise, July 18-30, 2013

Victor Emanuel Nature Tours has generously offered to donate $500 to Travis Audubon for each person that registers for the Galapagos Islands Cruise, July 18-30, 2013, who identify themselves as having learned about the trip through Travis Audubon.

Experience the thrill of a Galapagos Islands cruise with Victor Emanuel Nature Tours, one of the most trusted names in nature tourism. We’ll visit all the major islands and seek the iconic wildlife for which the Galapagos are so famous including giant tortoise, marine iguanas, lava lizards, Flightless Cormorants, Waved Albatross, Galapagos Penguins, and Darwin’s Finches. JB Journeys
Birding Trinidad and Tobago, November 30 – December 9, 2013

Based at world-renowned Asa Wright Nature Centre and Lodge, a 200-acre wildlife sanctuary in Trinidad’s rainforested Northern Ridge, and at the secluded Cuffie River Lodge on Tobago’s beautiful mountain rainforest, you will visit several unique natural areas on both islands. Travis Audubon’s Laurie Foss will lead this tropical trip, along with local naturalists guides.

Target birds include Oilbirds, Scarlet Ibis, Purple Honeycreeper, Tufted Coquette, Ruby Topaz Hummingbird, Tropical Screech Owl, Trinidad Motmot, and Beared Bellbird. And that’s just on Trinidad! On Tobago, look for Rufous-tailed Jacamar, Great Black-Hawk, Yellow-headed Caracara, and Common Potoo.
