CLASS: Introduction to Nature Photography (FULL)

8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

This class is currently FULL.

This introduction to nature photography will help you understand what’s going in your camera and how to take better photographs. Although the emphasis is on nature photography, the knowledge gained will help you in any photographic setting.

The class will explain the basics of exposure – aperture, shutter speed and ISO and how they interact with each other to create the photo you want. Hints on taking better wildlife photographs and photographs in general will be discussed. We will discuss some information on cell phone photography.

We will have time to practice indoors and outdoors so bring whatever camera you have. Bring fresh camera batteries and your camera manual, if you can. We will be outdoors some of the time, so I recommend bringing a hat or something to shade your eyes.

Bring a lunch, snacks and water. Class size is limited to 15. Class will be held at a southeast Austin location– registrants will receive further details prior to date. Contact Cindy Cannon prsart@yahoo.com with questions. The instructor, Theresa Bayoud, has taught several classes for TAS.

Theresa Bayoud has been a birder and photographer for more than 30 years. Her favorite nature photography subjects include birds, dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies. She has taught several photography classes for Travis Audubon in the past.
