Virtual Class: Introduction to Nature Photography

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This introduction to nature photography will help you understand what’s going in your camera and how to take better photographs. Although the emphasis is on nature photography, the knowledge gained will help you in any photographic setting.

The class will explain the basics of exposure – aperture, shutter speed, and ISO and how they interact with each other to create the photo you want. Hints on taking better wildlife photographs and photographs in general will be discussed.

We will have time to practice outdoors so think about where at your house would be a good place to shoot some nature photography. Have your camera manual available.

This course will be taught by Theresa Bayoud. Theresa has been a birder and photographer for more than 30 years. Her favorite nature photography subjects include birds, dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies. She has taught several photography classes for Travis Audubon in the past.

The cost of this course is $30 for TAS members and $45 for non-members. Registrants will receive meeting credentials via email several days prior to class. Registrants should have internet access, a computer, and a Zoom login.
