Hi! I am so pleased to be leading an outing for Collage Rehabilitation in Austin, Texas. I have been working with this very fun group for at least six months. We have physical and occupational therapists and their patients out on accessible trails, learning how to bird. So fun. Lots of exclamations, pointing, mimicking bird sounds and LAUGHING!

In the photo, ten of us are at Richard Moya, one of Austin’s oldest county parks covered in huge old pecan trees! The day was beautiful, sunny, a little breezy and cool.  We only saw 10-ish birds, which is weird. This time of year it’s cavity wars between the Downy Woodpeckers, European Starlings, Red-bellied Woodpeckers and others.
